History[]
Early Life[]
Lyle was born in 1959, in the Baltimore suburbs of Towson, Maryland. While little is known of his childhood, it is known that Lyle attended a military boarding school after the death of his parents when he was young and that he majored in Political Science while at the U.S. Naval Academy.
Reign of the Rocket Men[]
At some point in his life, presumably when he was in his 20s, Lyle was recruited through a third party into S.T.A.R. Labs. It was there that he joined the task force then classified as 'Rocket Men' - A new, experimental type group of individuals trained with the use of jetpacks and other tactics. Home Invasion
Lyle deals with intruders in his home sent by the group of rogue scientists.
discovered that they had all been subjucated into illegal experiments years before his arrival. While not of their own volition, they had carried out assassinations upon the competitors of the scientists who experimented on them or other criminal acts for years. Then one day, the system broke down in their minds, causing them to lose control. They had all gathered up civilians in a public transport zone and massacred them. Lyle took the responsibility of going in alone and after the longest night of his life, he walked out; battered and weary but more than anything scarred.
The scientists were tried for crimes against humanity and incarcerated in federal prison while Lyle, scarred forever more, had killed his friends. Leaving him as the only Rocket-man left. The Rocketeer.
Personality[]
Abrasive and honest, Lyle is not a blind idealist unlike many others in his line of work. He is a quiet, instinctive and observant man, often somebody who is most comfortable on the fringes of society. He maintains the exceptional ability to detatch himself emotionally from any immediate situation in order to better achieve his objectives. As a man of few words, Lyle is truly himself when he is on the job, in a sense becoming what he does. He has little left to prove to the world and retains no interest in glory. If he fights, it is because he believes he is capable of provoking positive change.
Appearance[]
Lyle stands at 6ft2" with an athletic build for a man of his age. He retains dark blonde hair, green eyes and near Roman-esque features. Lyle also bares scars from his past on his body, one in particular on his brow, as people say, helps increase the status of his already imposing demeanour.
